The legendary High Roller returns with an all-new hybrid tread design, but the same old winning ways!
Positioned between the Assegai and the Shorty in the Maxxis gravity range, the 3rd generation High Roller combines an open center tread pattern with large, well-supported side knobs to withstand extreme cornering forces.
Its hybrid tread design provides the soil penetration of a wet weather mid-spike while retaining the cornering control and hard surface traction of a dry conditions tire.
The High Roller III was developed to meet the demands of modern downhill riding and has already secured a win at Mont Sainte Anne with Jackson Goldstone.
As part of Maxxis' ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental impact, the High Roller III will ship in new, fully recyclable packaging.
3C MaxxGrip
3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber the brand offers in a mountain bike tire. This high traction compound is the same one used by Maxxis' top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes and is available in a variety of casing configurations to cover all riders.
TR
Tubeless ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Tubeless ready tires are denoted by the letters “TR” on the sidewall.
DH
As the name implies, Downhill casing tires are designed for extreme use in all gravity applications from DH racing to bike park riding to free riding to long travel e-bikes. A Maxxis Downhill tire is made with two layers of the brand's durable 60 TPI casing material along with a large butyl rubber insert that extends from each bead into the sidewall. The butyl insert helps prevent pinch flats, protects the rim from impacts, and provides additional sidewall stability.
